This is a private copy of the [MIR](https://github.com/vnmakarov/mir) project for use by Ravi. The code will be occasionally refreshed from the upstream
project. Following changes have been made:

* A CMake build script added to create a library
* Unused files / tests have been removed to avoid clutter
